Friday 24th October...

Well our 3 days in Laos have consisted of practically living at Khop Chai Deu, this restaurant/beer garden in the centre of town stuffing our faces with food and drinking Beer Lao.

We were intending on going to Vang Vieng yesterday, a place about 3 hours north of Vientiane where you can float down the river on a rubber tube and stop off at floating bars to drink beer. Problem was we were so drunk on Wednesday that we got back to our guest house too late to book the bus. Oops.
So instead just ended up back at Khop Chai Deu for most of the day. Bonus now being that we're totally relaxed which we really needed after Vietnam. Plus with the 11:30pm curfew we've definitely caught up on our sleep!

Would definitely recommend Laos and I'm sure I'll be back - I've started looking for jobs already.

Back to Bangkok tonight, for the weekend, before Janine abandons me to go to Singapore, leaving me 10 days to amuse myself before I go back to work at the wildlife sanctuary. Then back to reality in 5 and a half weeks...
