Quite scared now but also excited now I've finally met Janine, who I'll hopefully be doing most of my travelling with, and also Kate while in Thailand. Both cool, can't wait!
Dont really have a set plan yet but probably something like this:
Leave London July 29th, arrive in Bangkok the next day.
Find my feet and try not to get conned by any of those gem scams, or to get into trouble by telling people I don't believe them...
6 days to kill in Bangkok which knowing me will end up consisting of shopping and not a lot else since I want to leave the sights for when Janine & Kate arrive.
Then make my way down to Kao Look Chang near Cha-am / Hua-hin where I'll be working at the Wildlife Friends of Thailand Wildlife Sanctuary for a month. Hopefully avoid contracting rabies from the monkeys or letting the tiger chew my arm off...
Finish work on September 1st or 2nd (should probably find out which one...) then make my way back to Bangkok to meet J&K on the 3rd.
Spend another couple of days in Bangkok seeing the sights, including Ayuthaya (old capital city) and maybe some of Kanchanaburi province.
Head down to Ko Pha Ngan for September 12th (Full Moon Party) then Ko Samui, Krabi, Ko Lanta...
Back up towards Bangkok and then onto Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and back to Thailand, stopping in Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai either before Cambodia or after Laos.
Down through Malaysia to Singapore to relax at Janine's uncle's place for a bit before she heads off to Oz and I make my way back to BKK at end of November to fly back to London on 1st December.
Sleep for a bit...then off to Dublin, then NY & Florida!
