Windwardside, Saba to Simpson Bay, St. Maarten
When I woke up this morning it totally sunk in that my Caribbean adventure and R&R in Saba are over. Good news for my liver, bad news for the rest of me. After a couple of final hours chilling by the pool, I finished packing and headed down to grab a couple of final yummy pineapple drinks with lunch. Don't worry, to combat my upcoming withdrawal, I'm bringing a bottle home with me... unless of course, I'm over the limit for bringing alcohol back. If so, the security guard at the airport will be a very happy camper.
After a few goodbyes (it almost felt like the last day of school) it was time to experience the Saba takeoff. I wasn't able to get the very front seat so I couldn't get a shot out the windshield but I was able to get this out my window. The one on the left is video, so just click to play. It's not the best view but you definitely get the idea.
Less than 15 minutes later, I was back in St. Maarten and St. Maarten means the Sunset Bar & Grill. So I dropped my bags off at the hotel and that's exactly where I headed for one final Caribbean sunset.
It's back to the real world tomorrow.
Maybe I'll just take the bus.
