Tuesday evening, Changi Airport

Monday June 30th
Peter and Graeme were off to golf. I wanted to have a look at an art supply store I had heard was good. Graeme dropped Charlotte and myself off. We had a good wander around, Bought some oil paints, same brand I use at home, and a lot cheaper I think. Will have to double check the prices when I get home, assuming I can remember what I paid for these ones.

The mall was across the road from Raffles, and I suggested to Charlotte we'd got there for a coffee, but she preferred the coffee shop on the opposite corner. It was O.K. apart from the fact they charged only 20 cents less for a fluffy than for a cappuccino. After our coffe break, we wandered around and Charlotte suggested we take a bus home rather than a taxi. I had to phone Lisa to ask about busses, not that she had any idea, but there were people in her office who did. Got the 1st bus O.K and the second too, except I didn't have any change on me, you need the correct money to pay. A kind lady changed a $2.00 note for me.

More time in the pool in before dinner. I have met several of her neighbours, who all seem very nice. We had some lovely lamb racks for dinner, that Kath and John (Graeme's parents) had brought when they visited.

Tuesday July 1st
It had rained during the night and was still raining in the morning. Peter was feeling a little off colour so we decided to leave the museum visit until Charlotte was having her afternoon sleep. It was really the first rain we have had. I'm sure they get quite a lot of rain, as Singapore is very green, full of lovely trees, and lots of grassed areas. Always lots of people around.
SAM  - Singapore Art Museum is always interesting. Wasn't all that keen on the photographs we came to see. They were from the mid 90th and it was impressive what he had done without Photoshop. We also looked at some interesting Vietnamese paintings. Peter was keen to take a bus back too, but I had done enough walking, so we took a taxi. Took Charlotte to the pool when we got back. She is so confident in the water.
Tess made her lovely sweet and sour pork. Just the best. I was going to watch her make it, but ran out of time. I have been teaching her how to use the bread maker.

Waiting to board the plane for Paris now. it's going to be a long flight.
