Peter and I are incharge of Charlotte, Graeme is playing golf in a charity tournament, and Lisa is on a course.
We are meeting a friend for lunch in town. We have known Lucy and her faamily for about 25 years, but had lost touch, but managed to make contact with them when we were in Singapore a few month ago.
Taxies are usually easy to get but we waited for quite some time and getting quite a quey behind us. One finaly stopped and we got ready to hope in, when a lady politley pointed out that she had booked that taxi. Almost asked where she was going but of course didn't.
2 minutes after we sat down in the restaurrant the same lade walked in. Smiled and said. 'we should have shared.'
Had a wonderful Chinese lunch, ate far too much. So it really wasn't a good time to try swimsuits, espceially not here where things that are marked XL would be a 10 at home Singapore books for sale in Orchard Road

.
Back to Pebble Bay and the pool. Lisa got back not long after and joined us at the pool.
Tess made a wonderful TOM Yam soup, and lots of fruit after. I really love the Mangosteins here, and of course the Mangos.
Sunday:
A quiet start to the day, as usual it was just Myself Lisa and Charlotte up, We are usually up around 6am, but with our late night it was closer to 7am at least for me.Lisa and I had a tennis game booked for 8am. What a change from home, where the back of the court has got frost, and we wear several layers, and the balls are so cold they don't bounce at all. hard courts here, and 30 degrees, the balls are so bouncy and fly like they have wings. Good fun, and a nice long cool swim afterwards.

Later all of us went to town, as every other Singaporean, we went to Mustafa, which is an Indian Department store. We had been warned it would be crowded and it was. Not helped by the very narrow iles. The food part was really interesting, the small of the spices quite overpowering. Would love to spend more time and really study the assortment.
I was after a watch as my beloved 'Rolex' had died Charlotte driving the bus

. Got a nice looking one for $27.00, also looked at sunglasses, but they were around $400.00. Well perhaps they were genuine, but I'm sure they scratch just as fast as a cheap pair.
Peter was looking for a loose short sleeved shirt. Surprisingly we found one that fitted, and for under $4.00.
The noise  and crowds soon got to full for us and we set off for the hawkers market for lunch. We went to Lau Pa Sat near Raffels City. Amazing amount of choices, I had crispy duck on rice for $4.00 and Peter Sweet and Sour Pork with an egg for under $5.00.
Time to head back home and put Charlotte down for a sleep and head for the pool. Talked of going out, but decided a quiet evening home with a good bottle of Wine (New Zealand of course.)
