Taxi was supposed to pick us up at 6am. Bad start for somebody who loves to be on time to have to wait. I know we are only 10 minutes from the airport, but I hate waiting. Of course we made it on time,and of course the plane was late, but you never know.
Christhcurch was beautiful, lots of snow and sun on the mountins. There was a front coming up from the south, and we saw it arrive. Once we had boarded it started to rain, and we could fel the wind buffeting the plane. They actually held off departure for 20 minutes because of the wind. Apart from a bumpy start it was a pretty good flight. Singapore Airlines as usual, gave good and frequent service. They even brought us a couple of glasses of Champange  from the front with a small cake to help us celebrate our 45 wedding anniversary.
The wind in Christchurch, must have kept blowing as we arrived 40 minutes early. Graeme and Charlotte were there to meet us.

First day in Singapore was a shopping day, after a monring swim. We had to return some glasses Peter bought 3 month ago. Charlotte led us to Starbucks for coffee. and then off to the Bouncy Castle at Katong Mall. It was the first thing Charlotte suggested, 'Let's hope in a taxi and go to the Bouncy Castle'
The afternoon was spent by the pool with a good book.
