We arrived yesterday evening after a 10 hour flight from Newark to Tel Aviv - it already seems like a week ago! We were met by a representative of one of the 3 local suppliers we will be evaluating, picked out a rental car, mounted our GPS, and headed into the city.

Tel Aviv is a busy modern town - founded relatively recently in the early years of the 20th century on a pile of sand dunes outside of the ancient Biblical port city of Jaffa. It feels a bit saucy - flaunting its reputation as a city for secular Judaism; traffic is busy, the pace of life is swift, street life is active and varied, and the ladies are definitely not restricted to Orthodox attire. Tel Aviv provides a fascinating place to start our quest of unraveling the conundrums of Israel, but we'll all be glad to get out of the city in a couple of days and into the walk-planning phase of this Adventure to the north.
Today was packed with meetings with 2 of the potential suppliers vying to provide us with the help we need to set up this new program. They tell us our philosophy of travel is a new concept in Israel - moderately challenging walks blended with visits to the major sights of the Holy Land. They seem excited about the chance to help develop the new concept here. So far, the help and the resources they have put at our disposal exceed any we've experienced during Adventure planning in other parts of the world.
Tomorrow we meet with the 3rd supplier and finalize our review of Tel Aviv, and the old port of Jaffa. Then its northward to Caesarea and the Galilee area. Stay tuned for more photos and reports!

Tel Aviv is a beautiful city in Israel. I got the opportunity to explore the beauty of this cultural diversified city. I visited a number of places such as Carmel Market in Tel Aviv, mountain fortress of Masada, sunset on Tel Aviv beach and so on. It was truly an amazing experience for my life when we enjoyed the luxurious facilities of Shenkin hotel in Tel Aviv, which was not very far away from the beaches and historical landmarks.
