Photos for Bocas are located at:

We paid for a tour that included a boat ride to view dolphins, two snorkeling stops and a beach stop at a national park for $15 and a $2 park fee. The dolphins loved the attention chasing the boat waves for more attention. One dolphin in particular enjoyed showing off by jumping vertically into the air several times. (The video takes 20 mins. to download so I'll edit it for download after the trip)

The weather took a turn for the worse so we stopped near another island where we waited out the rain drinking Sangria made with star fruit. Once the rain passed we stopped for a snorkel. The visibility was amazing and the white sands gave the perfect contrast to the colorful fish and sea urchins.

From there we headed to Red Frog Beach the rain made the trails muddy and slippery causing Aimee to slip twice. She came out of the jungle covered in mud laughing off the spills unhurt. The beach was intense and absolutely entertaining. The waves were constant and large enough to carry us.

Our last snorkel spot was cloudy because of the rain so our trip was cut short.
Overall Bocas del Toro is a must if you are in the area. It is a nicely kept secret, a little more touristic than my personal preference. It is a cheaper version of any Mexican resort and not too underdeveloped. Since everyone is offering the same entertainment the prices stay competitive. The lodging is fairly inexpensive but we found meals to be expensive relative to everything else.

We are leaving in the morning back to Costa Rica and overall I was thoroughly impressed by Panama. The people are super friendly and are eager to make a good impression. Until the US government allows us to head to Havana, Panama City will have to do as my comparable alternative. I am looking forward to Bocas again after I buy that place I want in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica.
