I had ma première classe today.  It wasn't a difficult class, although I was still quite nervous.  We had to pair up and ask each other a whole bunch of questions, and we then had to present our partner to the class and explain all the stuff we found out about them.  I made one 'notable error'.  I said Mairan (from Brazil) studied 'langes étranges appliquées' instead of 'lange étrangères appliquées', the difference being between studying foreign languages and strangeBut it  languages.  Oops.

But there were other people in the class who made errors, some of which I even noticed, so that made me feel alright about my french ability.  Whatsmore, I understood the lecturer.  Everything she said.  That's progress, innit?
But, haha!, we had to draw un plan (a map) of the town.  That was a hilarious experience Gem & Amy in the car park

.  So tomorrow, 5-7, for our class, our prof is taking us for a tour around the town to tell us about its histoire.  An exercise in listening, she says.  I'm in.

Also, for those of you who want a vrai french beret, I can buy them for the equivalent of $30.  There is black, fawn, khaki, grey and red.  If you want me to get you one, just deposit $30 in my account (email me to get the details - gemmalemes at gmail dot com) and name your colour and I will set about getting it for you!  Be warned, I don't know if they are likely to sell out.  There are only 3 of each colour on display here, but I hope that is not their whole stock.

I have been walking so much, and eating a lot of vegietables, which is great, but I think my cooking is getting worse and worse.  My first stirfry was amazing.  The next few were okay.  Tonight I couldn't enjoy one bite.  What is going on?
I think I am going to eat my Ben & Jerry's cookie dough ice cream tonight to make up for my lack of delicious dîner.

This morning (Thursday) at 3am, my room mate, Bek, left for Spain. She and Stanja (Czech) and Douglas (Brazilian).  They've just gone down for a few days.  They'll be back in time for the fire works on Saturday evening at the old port to celebrate the end of the boat festival here.  Yeah, I'm in France *shrug*, c'est normal, non?

Mais, je préfère rester ici.

Sigh... I want some passion...
Wow, it all looks so pretty... I wish I was there!

Also I meant to ask if you'd gotten a chance to sit down and watch that anime yet? Well obviously not all of it cos that would be ridiculous, Sailor Moon by itself is 66 hours long, that would take like, 3 days, straight, without sleeping, JUST watching Sailor Moon... actually that's not a bad idea, might have to save it for uni break though...

...

Anyways I'm rambling so I'll stop now, have more fun times over the seas!
Until your next blog post (that was meant to be 'until our next meeting' but THAT WILL BE TOO LONG ;_; )

Re: Sigh... I want some passion...
Haven't watched the anime because I haven't brought it with me. Hmm. Tricky.
