I just wrote an entry and lost it all. I soooo cannot be bothered writing all that again, and I also have a day to start here. Gee-whiz, that's annoying.
Summary: Meeting with Sue Ryan good. She is Australian and helped us enrol. Thank goodness.
Uni is ugly. Check out this eample of 'modern architecture'.
I went for a walk by myself into the ville veille (the old village), where everything is beautiful, to find a bookshop. I found it a bought a book that some of you may be familiar with.
We went for a walk along the shore
In the evening, we went out to dinner with all us 5 Australians, at Les Regates, and I have pasta "aux fruit de la mer", so lots of prawns and mussles (yum). And then ice cream (cinnamon). Nadine (who is a mature age student) took us to show us her appartment, which is so gorgeous and french.
Yesterday was a french test to put us in our levels. We find out the results on Tuesdau ant 3pm.
Last night was reall windy and crazy. I have done more walking this week that in a whole year at home. Walked along shore in wind and was getting blown off the path. Last night was loud with all the masts and sails clanging.
Today, off to fruit and veg markets.
Best be off.

Hooray for walking! When you get back you'll be whipping all of us into shape with your insane fitness hehehe...
Hope you had a great weekend!

Re: woohoo...
Fruit and veg markets are just your style. Be careful of buying squishy things though - they may not look so awesome after a long trip home. =P But the markets themselves? Cheap(er), smell great, in french = awesome. I'll take you if you visit me here.
Re: Street
yeah, I s
ure will be whipping you all into shape... as long as I don't have too many days like yesterday.
My body says eww. (Although I loved it at the time). I had a pain au chocolat and a pain au raison (both make out of that kind of croissant bread, but with extra sugary stuff) a bottle of coke, a ginormous ice cream (rocher & caramel de l'ile de ré), and I also got sunburnt. Oops. Ahh well, that may come in to an entry.
And yes, we should rename 'University Drive': 'Albert Einstein Drive'. Because we are uni - we must be smart.
