Arrived about 5pm, piled into our room at the Four Queens Hotel near the Fremont Experience (old Vegas), had food, got cleaned up and headed out to the show. LOVE. The Cirque du Soleil show with specially arranged Beatles soundtrack - wow the colours man!

The show was absolutely excellent! Would go again in a minute. Me and Welly had front row seats and were almost up dancing on the stage ourselves a few times it was so good. At one point the performers were bouncing around all over the place on these trampolines to a mixture of Revolution and Back in the USSR, it just looked like excellent fun. The seats have speakers build into them so you can here all the nuances of the soundtrack too. There were outtakes from studio time and snippets of other conversations too - can't recommend it highly enough.

Afterwards we walked all the way along the strip - the enormity of the casinos are a cross between vulgar and amazing. Wanted to have a go on the gondolas in the Venetian but they were shut. Went into a casinos to check out the wedding chapels in case it took our fancy! Walked about 10miles easy that night, got back to our hotel just as the sun was coming up. It was averaging 105 degrees by early afternoon but we were knackered from the lack of sleep from the previous days camping so crashed out til late afternoon in the best bed ever! It was pure luxury compared to the camping experience (even though the room only cost us $40 a night!).

Later on we went out to the Stratosphere to go on one of the rides at the top. Went on X-Scream, it basically throws you over the side of the building 800odd feet up - excellent fun. Expensive at $30pp for 2minutes but would go on the other rides too next time.

Headed back to the hotel after that to hook up with Welly's mum Marie. Got food then crashed out.
Next day headed to Palm Springs for a week of luxury (it was fun trying to fit all the stuff, mainly firewood and cool boxes, that we'd accumulated in the time of having the car and Marie into the car).
