Late last night we started our journey down the River Main, passing Frankfurt at midnight. It is the most beautiful night scape we have seen so far.
On the ship we had a quick glass blowing demonstration from a local Glass blower. There was more "selling" than demonstration but it was interesting.
We cruised The Main until 2pm when we arrived at Miltenburg and began a Village tour with 'Rene' Dietrich.
The town is gorgeous. Building dating to the 1600s with heavy catholic influence as the town was "owned" by the Bishop of Main. Their history included witch burning.
Now we board coaches to visit a rural village and enjoy a rustic carriage ride around the river followed by a BBQ hosted and prepared by the locals.
It was a fun night! The carriage rude was lovely and included sharing wine and folk songs. The dinner was a family feast with lots of singing and dancing!
