Where I stayed
My Home in Mesa!
due to a dust storm! It's really a cool morning and I'm lovin' it! I
am desperately trying to remove all evidence of bachelorhood here.
Trying to make room for Mimi when we drive back with a screaming U-haul
truck. I'm still trying to put 10 llbs into 5 lb bags here! My little
retirement home is only 1200 sq feet and I've been somewhat remiss in
space utilization. Yesterday, while cleaning the kitchen, I realized
that I had THREE junk drawers
three junk drawers?" Typical guy thing I guess! :-(
I called Mimi yesterday and informed her that I now had 72 inches! She
was speechless until I told her she did too! After reorganizing the
master bedroom closet, things are much bigger than I had imagined.
Especially after I tossed some things that seemed to have their own locomotion.
The refrigerator was still another adventure. Last night, I shot
something right between the eyes that has been watching me for several
days since my return. I think things are cleared out pretty well now.
There was a slight battle with a new bag of carrots that had never been
opened. Man, slime city! Can you believe what carrots do just sitting
there? It's a good thing I'm into slime because most people would have
tossed their lunch over that one. The ground squirrels had taken over
my yard and were running a pretty fascinating protection racket. There
was a burrow right under my side doorway with a little sign stating "See The
Man before eating here!" It was cute. My birds were in a single file
awaiting my next toss of feed. It's good to be back home, however, I
think some things may change soon. Mimi used to just stand there and
shake her head wearing a slight little smile that seemed to say "you
poor thing". Not sure what she was thinking when she found soup that
had expired in '99. I told her that some K-rashions from WWII were
still good after forty fifty years! She wasn't impressed. Oh well, God made
us all different and then created some rescuers to help solve issues
like starvation, housing, etc.
Love to all from Hello, Arizona
