What a great time we had at the Lakota Indian Pow-wow in Shakapee, Minnesota!
It was a trade show along with lots of Indian dancing.  The trades were jewelry, Indian paintings, artifacts, etc.  The music was pure American Indian and was really enjoyable.  I seem to love it more as I hear more of it!   The dancing involved beginners, multiple levels of intermediate, and professional dancers.  They were graded and moved up the scale to finals happening on Sunday.  We didn't go Sunday.  We were there from 02:00pm until about 06:00pm.  Also, hooked up with some of Mimi's American Indian friends.
The DaKota tribe gave a great feast during lunch time.  It was full of goodies and was FREE!
The tribe feeds many every Pow-Wow both Saturday and Sunday.
All in all, it was a really fun weekend.
Hope you enjoy!
