Finally there was the weekend!
I had the Friday off because my lab was canceled. It was nice to sleep in a little longer (9am), phone home (skype). Then Thomas and I went to the Primo Beach area to go to Walmart and get the last missing things as well as to explore the big and exciting shop. Afterwards we decided to hike up Bishops Peak. Even it was quite cool here the last days, you got quite hot walking up hill in the sun. On top it was very windy and we had a great view over the area of San Luis Obispo and SLO itself even it was a bit hazy on that day.
At the evening I was invated by Thomas's landlord, Mark, to dinner at Madonna Inn. Madonna Inn is a quite famous hotel and Restaurant in SLO.
copied from Madonna Inn's webpage:
A landmark on California's Central Coast for over forty-five years! The world-renowned Madonna Inn located in the heart of San Luis Obispo offers 109 rooms, uniquely decorated with a special theme and color scheme, no two alike! Enjoy your favorite meal in our Copper Café and Pastry Shop or Alex Madonna's Gold Rush Steak House. Dance the night away in the Silver Bar Cocktail Lounge.
It's really special because of the many different room designs with a big love to design, e.g. the caveman room which has water coming through stones as a shower, ... .
Mark's club from work had an annual dinner he organised at Madonna Inn. The food was good. Afterwards he showed me how to swing dance which was really fun and funny even there were almost only older people around.
On Saturday we went to the beach but it was really chilly because of the wind.

I really talk way to much German: That's why I first started to write in German....

Endlich Wochenende!
