The Adventures of Frankyo Tokyo (Part 2)
Entry 3 of 7 | show all | print this entry |
What a day, I'm starting to dig Tokyo rap music. This place is nothing as shown in the movie The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift. I have not seen one race car! Oh well it's ok I'll just keep an eye out. Ate breakfast in the hotel (it's free) and ate in some Japanese food restaurant known as K-chef jui there was American and Japanese food there.. I ate some bootlegged fake tacos for dinner. Only visited 1 historical site today and I walked around downtown(very busy!!). what a gorgeous sight...

Went to the Tokyo tower in which you could see the whole city, there was a small historic museum about the tower's history there. It was built in 1958. The true historical site I visited however was the Asakusa Shrine around downtown. Legend goes that a millenium ago the Hirokuma brothers out of their fishing nets found the statue of Kannon which supposedly grants purifying powers. Established in 1649 and known as the shrine of three gods. It is the most famous shrine in Japan. Went out buying video games today, don't understand them but they are advanced and fun! I'm tired and I'm going to sleep know(not waking up til midday I hope!)
*note* Transportation is covered for the whole week with ny metra pass I bought** 8,430 -20 ( K-chef jui Restaurant ) 8,410 -20 ( Asakusa Shrine Tour ) 8,390 - 90 ( 2 video games ) 8,300 -10 (Taco Dinner at Alfonso's Restaurant) 8,290 -20 (Kanye West Shades) -10 ( Teriyaki Boyz album) ---8,260 left---
