From Sayulita

Tuesday morning we packed and moved on down the coast to a great beach campground at Sayulita. Only an hours drive through the lush vegetation then wind our way through the dirt and cobblestone streets of Sayulita to find the Sayulita Trailer Park. Sayulita is a small beach side village chock full of artists, hippies, surfers, and general tourist from all over albeit most are Canadians again ! Shops full of artisans wares the likes we have not seen before which is refreshing but dangerous for our budget. Everywhere we turn there is another restaurant formal and not, on the beach and not, no way anyone's going hungry here. We meet an ex pat American in the campground who runs the beach bar restaurant on Wednesday nights and it's gonna be Italian night with eggplant parmigiana........oh....oh !
After settling in a spot with a feeble electrical connection we wonder off into town via the beach for some shop snooping and lunch Bull Fighting Stadium in La Penita

. Rita spys some turquoise jewelry she "has" to have and after some real bargaining we buy and get a ride in a Mex beetle to Bucerias, the next town, some 20 minutes away to find a bank machine. The ride with the young Mexican jewelry dealer is pretty cool in his old Mex beetle, up and over the mountain roads.
Back at the camp we check again for a WiFi connection and find two but they are protected. I get the bright idea to put the super duper WiFi antenna I bough back in La Paz, on the advice of a fellow camper, up on my 20 ft' Fiberglas windsock pole. Only having 10' of USB port wire limits my success but I get an open signal and get connected ~ woooopeee ! Now we have a free WiFi connection to communicate with. While on the communication subject, Bell did get our cell phone working again back in La Penita after several e-mail exchanges with them. Made calls to our moms and my sister. Now here in Sayulita we can not even get a signal. Toooo bad !
So back at camp after cruising the town and carnival for the evening we are just settling in for a sweet night when at around 10 pm our neighbours inform us they are disconnecting our electrical connection because the circuit is overloaded and their fan and fridge have quit working. Well, what about us ? No power for our fridge and the propane service on our fridge has not been working well. So, I start the propane service and off to bed we go expecting the fridge and contents to be very warm by morning La Penita trailer park 1

. Morning arrives and around 6 am I check the fridge after getting coffee going, and surprise, surprise, it's reading 4 ~ 5 degrees and the fins have frost on them. The fridge had decided all on it's lonesome to work - yahoo ! That will keep me from pulling the fridge out today as I had planned to investigate why the malfunction.
We trot of to town after a great walk on the beach to see about getting my beard trimmed as it's getting long and it's too hot. The "aesthetician" we talked to about this last night is not there as she said she would be at 9:30 so we opt to forget about it and go for more exploration around the village then back to camp to get our electrical situation straightened out. We find Raoul, the camp master and he finds us a new connection so we're back with electricity. This is good cause warm Cerveza's are not good !
After a nice day on the beach and back through town we have our Italian diner on the beach then back up town through the carnival and Tequila stands, why don't our carnivals have Tequila stands ? We eventually make our way to the town square and find a Mexican band belting out tunes in the street. A cowboy shows up and gets his horse dancing to the music. A crowd gathers and the cowboy and his horse get right into it and it's pretty far out ! We cannot believe our eyes and we're told this is just the beginning. Friday night the big parade and more dancing cowboy horses will take over the town square. We will be sure to get some pics.
Don't know how or why we'd want to get outta here for more adventures further south !

Wet & Cold
I guess the only wet and cold your seeing is the beer. Your trip is amazing, can't wait to talk to you at Bus Fusion so I can plan for next year. Glad to hear your fridge fixed it self that happened to me in NM last winter but it's run great ever since.

safe travels
