Clare picked us up in New Orleans at 10am to make the drive over to Houston. Charlie was Addisons entertainment the whole way and surprisingly she didn't cry. We arrived 8 hours later, knackered and hot.
We haven't really been doing much since we got here, just chilling out ready for the next bit. We went to the National Funeral Museum for something to do but it smelt weird so we didn't stay long.
On Saturday night Clare and Matt got a babysitter and we all went out to the Gingerman, the original of Graham's favorite bar in New York, then afterwards we stopped at the worlds biggest supermarket for snacks.
We had a BBQ on Sunday with some of Clare and Matt's friends but we started drinking at 2pm which meant we were all in bed by about 10pm. Rock on.
Monday was probably one of Graham's best days since jumping out of that plane, he went to the gun range with Matt and played with a Glock 9mm hand gun and an uzi 9mm fully automatic whilst Clare and I went for a lovely soothing back massage and pedicure which meant I was so relaxed I found it very hard to worry about Graham playing with lethal weapons.
We babysat that night so Clare and Matt could go out, we drank far too much money in New Orleans so need to save a bit of cash. Oh and Graham and I have had our first and probably last experience of changing a nappy, I mean last cause after that I'm put off having kids for life.
On our last day here Matt took us to find the Mexican Tourism Office to get our tourist cards in advance of the hideous and possibly dangerous journey to Mexico City... advise to all, there is no Mexican Tourist Office at 5075 Westheimer. Total waste of time, so the stress levels are back up and I'm wishing I'd remembered the Valium.
When we got back Matt found a Brown Recluse spider behind the TV, can't tell you how much I want that Valium. Will have to get drunk instead.
