Hanging out

Yes, it was time to celebrate...even if it was only Thursday night. Jobs are hard to come by here, even for doctors. Our friend Kong landed a new job near his home village and was very happy. And so were we, as we soon found ourselves in the company of a fwe good guys and several crates of cold BeerLao.
On a hot saturday morning, Nick and I found ourselves in Buddha Park. A puzzling array of concrete structures dominate the landscape, 30 minutes outside of Vientiane. Said to be a mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism, there seems to be a few more things thrown in, ...like skulls for example. There is definitely a dark twist on things. Interesting place, you can sit on the giant pumpkin and have lunch.
