Arrived in Chiang Mai today by plane, one hour flight. On our last day in Bangkok we went on the cannels which was very interesting. Racing along in a little boat like in the James Bond movie in Venise. The cannels form the basic structure of the city and people live right on them. Very polluted water, people used to wash their cloths but now wate to dirty. Chiang Mai is much less crowded than Bangkok, only 1.2million people in greater region. We all had one and a half hour massages for about $15nz each this afternoon and a wander around the city. Seb and I saw two men with their elephants in the bars and walking the streets. Only about 35.C today!!!!
