After the bus journey from hell we arrived in Malang it was about 5am it was pretty quiet and after one bloke having a bit of a joke with the price he wanted to take us to the hotel we walked out to the main road and got one of the van/multiple people carriers, he said he new where we wanted to go, wrong, we ended up driving around for aggggeees and asking loads of people directions, he did eventually manage to get us to the correct place and the cheeky so and so asked for more money coz he got lost, erm let us think about it for a millisecond, NO!
The room was not the best but after the night we had we could not be bothered so just crashed out, me and Lauren slept for the most part of the day, when we eventually surfaced Phil was as bright as ever having been for a walk to train station and shops and drinking one too many coffees, we all went for a walk into the town, had a McDonald's, and wandered around, there seemed to be a lot homeless people, people with limbs missing, and disabled in other ways, we haven't seen people on the streets like this for a very long time, not nice.
We had planned to go to Malang to use it as a base to get Gunung Bromo, unfortunately we had a choice to make, they wanted 750'000 rupiah for it so it had to be a no.
Went out and walked around another part in the evening and all got some pretty amazing food from the stalls, marktabak was A..mazing, got two of them, Lauren had one and Claire got some sort of omellette and crispy tahu. Got some beer and wine from the shop and sat in the garden drinking and playing cards, good giggle.
Day 246; 11th
Spent the morning sorting out our journey to Bali so we could get a flight to flores, ended up getting a ticket from some random guy for a mini bus to take us, had to go use internet and computer to move some photos and get the blogs done (clearly that didn't happen, sos got bored).
Me and LB chilled in the room while Phil went for a walk to the bird market.
