Where I stayed
Had a leisurely morning, got up early enough to get the free breakfast, rice with chicken with an egg on the side, strange, and a plate of about ten slices of toast???? the lucky little cat got mine, (this time I didnt almost kill it) think she may be pregnant very cute.
Laid around a bit more, then went to get our taxi to the waterfall.
The long walk began at the bottom of a very steep hill, I think the sign said half way it was 250 steps to the top not sure if that's from the bottom or middle defiantly felt like we had been walking for a long time, and way over a million steps, [480 metres]
Struggled quite a bit while Phil marched ahead reaching the top a good ten minutes before us!
Got to the top eventually, not what we where expecting but still beautiful, all had a little dip, the rocks where quite slimy so all of us did some funky little dances trying not to fall over. Some crazy man tried to convince Phil to climb through the barrier and go down the waterfall on a bit of metal rope, even Phil is not quite that stupid!
Walked down and followed a second path which led to the actual "waterfall" it was huge and so amazing, the water level is quite low at the moment as in summer season, would have been lovely to see it in full flow, can't have everything though! Took some pics sat a watched for a while then made our descent, pretty hard work on the old legs but definitely worth it.
The landscapes are beautiful, bootiful, bootiful, bootiful, can't describe it, but not going to get sick of looking at, saw proper rainforest today, proper stuff!! Already in love with Malaysia, how could you not be - all the best foods from over the world, including there own, countless cultural influences, and wealth, it seems to be here yet things are still far cheaper than at home. And the people?? Wow, screw Thailand.
Malaysia, truly Asia...indeed.
