Where I stayed
So another little part of the India trip had come to an end...bye bye goa, and easy easy life!!!
We thought we'd ease ourselves back into it, Bombay is hot sticky crammed rammed smelly and all those beautiful things a city can be, but I'm quite enjoying it oddly, Claire not so much, we're staying in the district of Colaba, south of central so not right in there in the thick of it but thought it wise to stick by the guide book on this one! its the tourist destination, lots of food etc etc also the gateway to India is here - india's own arc de triomphe, built in 1924 and where on February 28th 1948 the last battalion of troops remaining on Indian soil left.
One thing Claire is glad of is that there is finally a mcdonald's - so you can have two guesses where we'll be eating three times a day..
Today we also had the opportunity to be in a bollywood movie!!! we would of had to go from six in the evening till six in the morning, fed watered and five hundred rupees each, might of been fun but if you go you can't leave and twelve hours is a long time! its quite common enough thing to happen, lots of westerners do it, for some reason they want western background extras, maybe we will regret not going but I'm sure we will get another chance, think they do them in the north also.
Booked our train outta here, wish we had longer, maybe we'll have to come back! and had McDonald's dinner in our cell room, walked back to the gateway to see it at night, wait to see if they two turn up tomorrow to join us!
