I got my Italian Test back today, I got an 85, pretty good, I was happy, maybe I'll be able to keep up conversation in Trentino this weekend.
Design is going well, we didn't do too much because last week was the Salone, but my group is having trouble with the floor of our stand. Everything was good until we had to come up with how to create the floor. It got to the point where we were frustrated and just kept going over the same ideas, so we called it a day. We didn't fight though, knock on wood, we're the only group without problems, we butt heads once in a while, but nothing too drastic.
We had a new History of Design professor on Tuesday. We also have a project due in her class. It should be fun because it can be digital!! Finally, the digital designer gets included!! Haha....I'm so happy!! We basically have to pick a word and come up with a bunch of boards for different things, like ambience, colors, shapes, etc... And we can make a slide show or Flash presentation!! I just have to get Flash on my computer....hmm...hopefully that'll work.
I almost forgot, Tuesday afternoon, I met Alfredo and Giulia at Santa Maria delle Grazie to see The Last Supper (La Ultima Cena). It was so nice of him to make reservations; it's really hard to get to see. When you go in, you have to go through rooms, each you walk in and the door shuts behind you, and the next door doesn't open until the one before is closed. This is so the amount of air that goes into the room where The Last Supper is located is limited. I was happy to get to see The Last Supper! When I looked around, I couldn't believe how that survived all that happened to it. Yeah it's been through a lot of restoration, but it was still amazing. Giulia and I named all the disciples, well Giulia named 10 of the 12, I got two! Haha. On the wall opposite the Last Supper, was the Crucifixion. It was a painting of Jesus on the cross, and the two thieves. One had an angel above his cross, and the other a devil. One was good and one was bad, is how Giulia explained it.
All in all it was a pretty uneventful week, The Last Supper was definitely a great experience, I can't believe I finally got to see it. I do have to go though, I'm going shopping again tomorrow, and I have to pack for Friday. Ciao Ciao!
