Where I stayed
Pacific Shores RV Resort
We'd stayed at Midway RV resort park last night, which was small and lovely. The staff were very friendly, and when you walked into the office it was like you walking into somebody's lounge in their house. Extremely clean and we weren't in a hurry to go anywhere. Never-the-less we were on our way again by 10.00ish.
We very much took our time up the rugged Oregan coast, stopping where the fancy took us. Our highlight would have to be a little pit stop we made to capture a photo, and we saw the sea lions (almost camoflagued into the rocks) and quite by chance some dolphins swimming in the shore. It really was quite incredible, because it was just nature, it was just chance, not a controlled, tour environment. In fact we were on our own, enjoyoing it, for a good 15 minutes before one other car joined us
We ended up at Newport staying at lovely Pacific Shores RV park. We'd picked a prime spot right on the ocean. At 3.00pm they had ice-cream time in the club rooms, so needless to say the Foreman tribe were over there at 3.01pm. Icecreams started at 25 cents and went to $1.00 for a banana split with all the toppings. Then straight into the large indoor hot pool, with spa and sauna.
Back to the camper for a hot meal, a movie, as we fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing in ... literally.
