You would not guess where we started the day today......   Yep back at the Moturis rental site, hoping we could get the key for the new toilet door!!   We had a lovely new door handle, that requires a key to open, and little Brad just couldn't resist the urge to 'push the button' on the inside and shut the door.  Of course, conveniently, we had never received a key for this new lock; one can only do without the bathroom for so long.

45 minutes later, key found (don't ask!), and we're headed up to the gates of California Adventure Park, part of the Disneyland complex.   Today, we're armed with heaps of water, and a fully packed lunch, AND we hired a push-chair for the youngest member - that was worth every penny!

We headed straight for Golden State Area and with no wait, we were on the Grizzly River Run in no time at all.   Personal opinion - that would be the most enjoyable ride for everyone, but be warned you end the ride more than a little damp...  perfect for the scorcher of the day we had.   Moved onto Paradise Pier, which is exactly as it sounds - it's made to look like a pier with ferris wheel and carnival side shows as part of the package.   This one also had the infamous California Screamin'  rollercoaster.   Starts from 'wo to go' in unbelievable acceleration.  All good, but Gary suffered second time around.

So needless to say, he wasn't too keen on the 'Tower of Terror' but due to severe peer pressure from the junior, and pre-schooler troops, he conceded.  This is for the brave, and that doesn't include Tara or me (I don't care if my 4 yr old and 5 yr old did it - I figure they're not old enough to appreciate fallability)

As the day wore on, the more sedate we all became, and enjoyed everything from A Bugs Land to the Playhouse Disney show.

We left about 6pm, tired, sore but knowing we had squeezed the most out of every moment.
