The next day however stuck to my decision to go. Rain however challenged me to stay longer. And I did.
Into town for breakfast, using uni facilities, drinking wine at the galery, enjoying a good cooked mail in the evening...another Marburg day. Life is about making the decisions and this time between 2 good ones. A luxury problem really.
Wednesday morning for the first time in about 2 weeks my cycling cloths make their appearance again! Almost forgot what they looked like. Sun is shining, good day for cycling, no more excuses for delay now. A slow morning, do not feel any rush to feel this place, last breakfast with Uwe, who kept on convincing his new ausstellung- assistent it is much better to stay ;-)) persuasive but,
finally, back on the bike again...
It was hard, even the wind was trying really hard to send me back to Marburg! In that first hour I asked myself out loud if I was listening to my feelings, am I doing the right thing? It confused me big time. But I know this bicycle trip is not only about my wish to see Roman again, it is much more, like a therapy to solve some issues, I want to close chapter and I feel I am not there yet. This is not the time to stop my cycling adventure. It need more time with me. Being on the move.
That first day I managed to cycle 93km to a beautiful lake near Nidda, in Vogelberg area. Decided to do wild camping on my own. It is not allowed, but if you pitch your tent at sunset no-one knows. Woke up with a great sunrise, just the swanes and me! Next day another 90km to Schöllkrippen (well nearby). To visit Evenlyn, a friend of Uwe, who runs a pension there.
Visiting her and her daughter Fabienne turned out into a 4-day stay with a trip back to Marburg for a party! It took me 2 days (10,5 hours) to cycle, only 1,5 hours by car to be back there again! Great to be there again, like coming home again. Strange as it may sound. This is the good thing about traveling without scedule, anything is possible. Luckily Roman understands and will see me when he sees me.
My days here are relaxed and funny. Making great meals together, cycled to a natural swimmingpool with Fabienne. Helped out a bit in the pension, with plenty of time to chill. Find it very interesting that there is even a cellar with a brewery inside, for making apple juice/wine or schnapps! You can make great drum music on
the barrels! I feel very welcome and blessed to be able to stay here. Even have my own room in the pension. Also here the running joke is: Do you really want to cycle today?
Watch my blog and find out when and which direction I will be cycling next ;-)))
