Entry 7 of 7 | show all | print this entry

I arrived in Valencia yesterday and there were people in yellow hats everywhere. After a little bit of investigation I found out that the Pope is coming to town so most things are closed. I have never seen a cleaner city, you could almost eat of the street. My hostel has a perfect balcony view and the Popemobile is going to be traveling right under it. I think I may try to fund the rest of my trip by selling tickets to my balcony. Groups of people are marching through the streets singing Kum-By-Ya with their yellow hats on. I will try to be a little respectful and not chill on the balcony with my beer gut hanging out and two beers in each hand... but I think I will at least have one. My hostel is prety cool cause it has a full on kitchen equipped with everything you need to make a feast. I actually cooked my first meal in 3 weeks last night and loved every minute of it. Now, I can make all the things that I have been craving like a fat juicy steak, eggs and bacon, the list could go on. I have been hanging with a couple guys from England who were in my hostel in Barcalona and then just meeting many other people along the way. There are many people from California especially Santa Barbara. I didn´t really need to travel half way across the world to meet them when they are only 1 hour away from me in SLO but whatever. Ok gotta go cause is Popemobile time.
