We first headed on the tube to Victoria Station to find some accommodation. That didn't go so well so we headed for some lunch and our first pint :)
We managed to find a place in Islington - about 45 minutes away from where we were, but we found a great place to stay at least!
Of course we had to head out on the town the first night in.....of to the Maple Leaf Pub.
It was great fun! We met up with a girl from Calgary of all places, and here group of the Couch Surfers. Great group of people & loads of fun to share a table with!!
We did all of the required tourist stops (Big Ben, Parlament, Picadeli Circus, Travalgar Square, Changing of the Guard, etc.) on the first few days - lots of walking but fun. We did manage to have a few pints in between!
One day we spent the entire day in Hyde Park. I think that was my favorite day in London. Great weather and just walked around, people watched and had a picnic lunch in the park.
Our short is over here.....off to Amsterdam!
