The bemo picked me up at the hotel, then stopped and picked up another couple on the way. Lorena and Andrea. Off to another port - which I have to say was nothing like Pading Bia!! We got loaded into another boat. This one was bigger, but just as crazy!! Lorena, Andrea & I went up on top where the surf boards all were tied down, lots of others were up there too!
Even on the 2nd level of the boat we still got soaked on the rough boat ride to Nusa!! We got there and stayed at the Mainski Inn right on the beach. The place was okay - but it would be nice if they actually cleaned the rooms once in a while!! But, if we didnt take them there was a line of people behind us that would have!
diving
! I was so glad again to have that sleep sheet!! lolWe went to the beach ASAP when we got there - this island is beautiful!! Andrea also arranged for us to go diving the next day.
Well, here is the low down on Nusa!!
Surfing - %#&^ scary - incredible, but way too much for me!!
Diving - WOW!! Sharks, manteres, sting rays......it is all here!!
It was probably the best part of my trip here in Nusa! We had a jam down on the beach, all the travellers were great & so fun!!!
We finally committed to leave on the 7th. It was a full moon and huge surf - so huge that no one was surfing - and those that did ended up in the hospital!! Lorena and I decided to pay the extra $$ and take the fast boat. We were both a little concerned about going on the other one - it would surely sink in those waves!!
The fast boat ended up to be so overloaded - it really wasn't much better!!!
We got into Sanur and hit the beach - packs and all! We must have looked like a site!! We then got the public bus to Ubud. Lorena was meeting some friends and I was meeting up with Cali again.

Boy you should see Mainski now.
It is now called Mainski Lembongan Resort.
New beachfront pool, New poolside bar/games areas.
Pool table, Table tennis.
New bathrooms & clean
New Menus, new chefs, sensational food including BBQ every night.
Unbelievable. You have to go back to the only pool on the beach.
