Howdy all and welcome to my travel blog of Africa!

I'm a kiwi girl taking a year (or so) career break to explore the world. I started out in Reading (pronounced 'Red-ing') UK in August 2005, travelled down to Spain, across the Morocco, flew to Ethiopia, then travelled down through Africa for the best 6 months of my life. My vague itinerary was:
Spain (3 weeks)
Morocco (3 weeks)
Ethiopia (6 weeks)
Kenya (2 days)
Uganda (3 weeks)
Rwanda (1 week)
Tanzania/Zanzibar (2 weeks)
Malawi (2 weeks)
Zambia (2 weeks)
Zimbabwe (2 days)
Botswana (1 week)
Namibia (3 weeks)
South Africa (3 weeks)
Mozambique (2 weeks)

You can see all of these entries and my pics at the links right at the bottom of this page so check 'em out :-) For a summary of my 6 months in Africa, check out my entry for J'burg, South Africa where I have listed my AFRICA TOP 40 experiences.

Now, I'm back in the UK waiting to set out on the next leg of my adventure - Iran and Central Asia by myself... a bit daunting but sure to be a lot of fun!

For all your travellers out there, I hope to see you on the road. For family/friends out there, don't worry about me, i'll be fine! And you can be assured that i'll be enjoying every minute of it!!

(entry written August 2005)
I am just new to this so bear with me until I get this site sorted out :-)

Anyway, we have a vague kind of plan worked out.
I am leaving the UK on August 31st to travel to Granada, Spain. I will be spending the first few weeks in Southern Spain (and meeting up with Cindy and Andy, and cousin Sacha in Mallorca) before meeting up with Kirsty (pictured above) in Malaga, Spain on September 13th. We plan to take the ferry to Morocco the next day and travel there for 3 weeks before heading back to the UK on October 4th. On the 7th we will then head off by plane to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for more adventure! Nothing is planned from there.... but we should spend a month or so in Ethiopia, followed by Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania etc etc heading down south before eventually ending up in South Africa and flying back to London on February 25th.

From there, we re-assess. If the funds are still holding out nicely and the enthusiasm is there, for a quick break, then overland to home!

Is this a plan or what!!!

Anyway, feel free to join whenever/wherever. We are flexible!
