The market was huge. We started at one end of the market and could not see the other end of it, but rows and rows of makeshift stalls. The market sold literally everything, everything that I would not buy as a tourist. There were stuff like used soft drinks bottles, teaspoons, nails, not-so-hygienic food and more. The whole place was bustling with activity.
The unfortunate event came when my friend N found out that he had been pickpocketed of his iPhone 5. We found the nearest exit, and walked towards to highway to catch the local bus back to the city centre. The ride was on the minivan and cost B1.50, a fraction if our cab ride.
My friend made calls to the phone and insurance company. And soon we took a cab to the Tourist Police station located at the miraflores district. It didn't take that long for the police to take down my friend's statement and issue him a report for the incident. Had lunch nearby, and went back to the city centre to grab money and make last minute purchases along the streets.
Since it was the last day there, I went to purchase my favorite food in the area: grapefruit juice, chocolate ball, banana muffin. Also bought 2 more gloves from the lady yesterday.
Had a beef platter for 3 at the Israeli Restaurant, before packing our bags and heading for our night bus to Sucre at 8pm. The tour agency guy from our hostel whom we bought our tickets from escorted us there on a cab (we had to squeeze), and due to a jam we were almost late for the bus. Thankfully he knew what to do, and after paying the bus tax, we were safely on our bus to Sucre. Good thing we paid him to do this for us.
