Had a long walk through the streets towards the Recoleta Cemetery. The cemetery is nothing like what I have ever seen. The tombs are actually buildings shaped like houses, churches, and statues. It seemed like a town by itself. It was a big place as well, with clearly defined streets. The structures ranged from 2-4 stories high. And some of them are really intricately built, with stained glass windows and roman statues.
Went to the restaurant Cumana for lunch, where we had delicious Argentinian puffs (shaped like curry puffs) with cheese, beef fillings and pots of meat stew.
Went to find the city lookout point for panoramic views thereafter, and the building was somewhere near where we stayed. Walked in and took the old fashioned lift, where u had to open the door yourself, to the 14th floor, and a separate lift to the 19th. Sadly, the gates were locked, and we soon found out that we can only get out to the viewpoint on a tour which was 65pesos. The tour didn't run today anyway.
Walked back hostel for a rest at around 2pm!
Left the hostel at around 815 to walk towards a pub/restaurant for a standin comedy at 9pm. Apparently it's the one and only English comedy here. Entry was 40pesos pp, and we had a bottle of Chardonnay which cost 80. There were 3 comedians, of which 2 were foreign. Jokes were great, and I enjoyed my time there. We took the bus back later, saving much time and feet pain.
