Got up early for breakfast at 7. An awesome one for that, with eggs, yoghurt and cereal. The bus for Torres del Paine picked us up at 8, and we met the American couple whom was also at the erratic rock briefing yesterday. There was a Canadian couple as well but they were doing a car tour.

Our first stop on the minibus was Milodon cave, which like most(if not all) caves, boring. Took a few shots of the cave and we left for the park administration. Paid entrance fees of 10000pesos pp, and had our lunch at the office. The Canadian couple left us and we started the hike with the couple, Nick and Bridget.

The weather at Patagonia is every bit as dramatic as the landscape here. There were strong winds and snowfall the moment we set off. I dropped and almost lost my sunglasses lens then. Just 30mins later, clear skies and warmth. This went on and for awhile, before a blanket of clouds covered the skies.

The scenery was initially covered by clouds, but gradually, we began to see the amazing scenery we signed up for. We took several photo breaks along the way, and got water off a nice stream. Took us 5.5 hours to get here (1145-1715)the last uphill stretch being the most demanding.

Set up camp at Paine Grande (4900pesos pp), cooked dinner (instant pasta failed us and we ha noodles instead).

Looking forward to a chilly night! (-2C tonight)
