Where I stayed
Wednesday 23rd January
Spent a lazy afternoon on the beach catching those ever precious sunrays and fighting off those peddling pests! I swear, there are more sellers than sunbathers and at least every 60 secs you have to tell one to feck away off! Although was quite impressed when one called me Beyonce. Call me shallow but i always did have a notion that we were somehow distantly related lol You do know how all Americans are Irish in some shape or form!
Anyhoo, decided to indulge once again with dinner and drinks lying on the beach, looking at the stars and the sound of the waves crashing behind us (not to be at all destroyed with all the boom boom racket in the background!)
On to.....The Ladyboy Show! Ok ok...we confess it wasn't exactly a ladyboy show in the true sense of the word...but it was a darn good Dragqueen show consisting of only men! The show itself was hilarious...especially when you see a Thai Tina Turner trying to lipsync to Simply The Best! But would def recommend the show for the sheer entertainment value...and best of all...it was free!! You can get an idea of the show by glimmering at the pics on this entry!
So feeling a lil bit tipsy again...we dandered up the street to sit down and do a bit of people watching - also known as people slagging! Girls...u know what we mean! And what sights did we see....a lot of the fun centered around watching the men and Thai girls do negotiations and then us trying to guess how much was the arranged fee
Decided to finish off the night with a final drink at Micks bar.
In bed around 4am...i swear one of these days we're gonna miss the sunrise!
Thursday 24th - Friday 25th January
Well folks...what can we say about these 2 days...except what a pair of lazy bitches we really are! Guilty as charged! Got up late, sauntered to the beach, ate and drank, hit more bars and home in the early hours!
Oh also...we did do something else...we moved apartments to a prison cell! But hey...instead of paying 1500 Baht we are now only paying 650 Baht. Why the hell didn't we move sooner you ask?! If only we knew...we blame the heat!
Joy caused a lil bit of a big scene involving the air con in the new place but some things, dear friends, must remain a secret! Let's just say it involved an open window and luckily our ground floor apartment lol
Over the 2 days spent lying on the beach we have now turned into something you would find on the beach...2 lobsters! Hurts a bit but sure so does a paper cut and if it goes brown soon then everyone wins! On the flip side tho...joy can no longer play dot to dot with the mosquito bites she's had on her legs since arrival
So yet again the skies opened last night and what was meant to be a shower lasted more or less all night. Today started off wet again but most of the afternoon, although very humid, has remained dry. Next stop on Monday is Singapore and the forecast for then is very wet and very warm so not looking good weather wise. We're hoping that tonight stays dry but you know us....When it rains we pour! So the Bacardi Buckets will be greatly enjoyed tonight! And by the way Colm...thanks for telling us that Sang Som is Thai Rum...we thought it was whiskey and paid a fortune for real Bacardi next week. Don't worry...drinks are on you in Oz :)
Right...it's that time of the day now where we have to go and make ourselves beautiful again...i know what you're thinking...it won't take long! After that we'll get dinner and get drunk! Just another night in Paradise...a wet Paradise but still Paradise!
Adios Amigos. Hasta Menana!
