Friday - Our last day working on the ranch and i cant even begin to tell you how sad i am. First off we went hunting again with Eugene, I have to experience it
. So we headed to a farm to kill and pick up a donkey. I sat up front with Morne and luc on the back with Eugene. Was sad when he killed him as the bullet didnt kill him straight away and took a second head shot to finsh it but still was v fast. I can now confirm that it is def not for me and even though, it was to feed the cats it made me sooo sad. Back at the ranch we gave out our blood lollies that we made yest. We have two to the leopards and as per usual they loved them. We then gave two to the lions for the first time and it went down a treat.By the end they were covered in blood and looked like they had red lipstick on. We also gave two small lollies to the servals but they were less then impressed lol. After lunch we decided to bond and say our goodbyes with Toni to all the cheetahs and bat eared foxes. So sad :( We also had some time with Bambam and checked on Prickles and Penny. We left the ranch early to get ready for our Braii. It was a good night and we are told one of the most popular braii's to date. All our friends came including Toni, Anthony, Tammy, Sonjia, Ronnie, Adi, Meno, Charles, Issac, dillon, craig and even some of the admin staff. Shame Eugene, kev and conwill couldnt make it :( Was a awesome night with some great ppl and good food. So sad to be leaving this place but think we have made some "keepers" :) Partied until 1am then bed time as the lions roared in the back ground....standard!!!
Thursday - We made bllod lollies first thing with the blood that eugene saved us from his last kill. We then helped clean lemur falls before relocating the Servals into Mickey and Mistys old enclosure. To kill the last 15 mins b4 tea time we went to see our favourite boy Bambam. The next task was a mamouth one. We grabbed our gum boots and headed to lemur island where we spent the next 2 and half hours catching the tens of Catfish before the moat could be drained and cleaned. The water stank and the fish were hard bastards but it was fun and i think every labourer was there to help :) After lunch we spent most of the afternoon socialising before a early finish to feed the tigers....my fav job so far :) Chilled night to follow.
