We arrived in Thailand and met our friends Jerri and John from California...we had a great time exploring the Bangkok and Cambodia with them.
Bangkok as always was vibrant, hectic and smoggy!  We were ready for it though after the slower pace of Borneo and enjoyed taking the boat around the river viewing the life from the water.  We had great dinners and lively, adult conversation with friends...a real treat for us!
We were inspired by Angkor Wat and the ancient history behind it and the Khmer people.  We walked through the ruins for a couple of days mesmerized by the structures and the landscape.  In 1992 UNESCO declared it a world heritage sight along with the whole city of Angkor.  Something everyone should see...
We had a great guide Cameron who was very knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and Siem Reap.  The kids loved him!  We took tuk tuk rides through the villages to see how the people lived and caught a traditional Cambodian wedding in process...We probably needed one more day...there was so much to see and explore.  Jack could barely tolerate it (it was so hot) he told Jerri and I that when he is a Dad he will NEVER take his kids on a trip like this...!  He will take them where ever THEY want to go...like Disneyland or something like that.
They are both troopers and handle the tough days like champs!
