Arrived in Sydney after a very long flight from Buenos Aires.  The kids were a bit put out that we lost a whole day in the process but recovered quickly when they were able to speak English at the airport!!
The jet lag was difficult but spent the afternoon walking around Sydney Harbor, The Rocks and Circular Quay.  It was an awesome sight to see the Opera House sitting out on the sparkling blue waters of the harbor. Something the kids were eager to see...
The next day we took a ferry out to Manly Beach.  We hung out all day...played games, ball and swam in the ocean.  It was hard to stay in the water long because of the blue bottle jellyfish roaming around but we had fun anyway.  We visited the Aquarium where we saw the largest sharks and eagle rays we had ever seen in a tank.  The next day we took a beautiful run in the Botanical Gardens...amazing views from every pathway.  Sydney is truly an extraordinary city in that there are so many beautiful waterways and easy access to all of them.
We spent the remainder of the day at Watsons Bay, a suburb of Sydney, a charming little beach area and harbor.  We ate at the famous Doyles Seafood restaurant and watched the kids play in the sand.  A lovely, quiet afternoon and evening.
We were to head to the Blue Mountains today but it is pouring down rain (something we didn't expect in Feb.) so we will head to the indoor museums instead.

Best plans...
Hitting the museums is always the best plan for a rainy day. Good thinking!
