Wooo Mexico!
Playa was less touristy than Cancun, it has to be said. But still levels of tourism and expense!!
Not much to write here really - spent my days enjoying the beach time, ooooh yeeaaaahhh. Found some nice spots for some sun-bathing (and shoulder-burning oops) so was nice to have a few days to relax before everything kicks off...!!
Sacked off going to the ruins at Tulum (though may still steal other peopleīs photos..!) as wasnīt feeling too well on the first day there (the heat! Killed me!) and felt like relaxing the second day, and not going at 7am like the guys were doing...!
But I got some Mexican tequila, woooo. Me & Fay (and Christine had one) decided to have some tequilaaa to celebrate being in mexico (plus after a big dinner didnīt feel like much liquid!). And my was it nice!! We opted for a mid-price one, a silver one. and it was LOVELY (this is not just the tequila drinker in me saying that. She liked it and she doesnīt usually!), but unforto forgot which one it was so couldnīt remember it to buy it. Arg! In a second bar drinks cost more, so we spent the same money and got a standard Jose Cuervo tequila. And, as much as I advocate it back home... no way was it tasty out here like other stuff!!! Wish mexico wasnīt so early on the journey else I could get some tequila for bringing home......
