On Saturday I met up with Joey in London and we went hunting around Leicester Square for the bar my uni mates were in. I had forgot how busy London is with people literally climbing over each other. We eventually found the bar they were all in and it was great to see everyone again. Then some low life, pathetic, sneaky, (some may say scum of the Earth), absolute fucking &*!# stole Joey's purse and camera from right under our noses. The security guy informed us that was the third time this week that had happened
The London Lemmy turned out to be a good laugh although I ended up losing everyone in typical drunken fashion when I wandered off looking for the underground station at the end of the night. Only to realise that London underground doesn't run 24 hours and had a sudden flash back of when I was in Singapore and missed the last train back to the hostel so got drenched. The following day I managed to find a coach which went back to Bristol for £16.50. Which was just as well because I couldn't afford the train ticket. Damn you Vegas! When I arrived in Bristol city centre all the familiar sights that I had so happily left behind 8 months ago were all there to greet me back. Like the 13 year old chav wearing his hoody stood next to me on the bus stop.
As I turned into my road it was a strange sensation and the only way I can describe it is everything felt kind of smaller. Then I noticed the Welcome home sign my dad had made and stuck in the window. Nice touch dad. It was good to see my family again. It seems so much has changed here and so much is still the same.
Whilst it does suck that this trip has now come to an end, it goes without saying that this has been the best 8 months of my life and I have met and traveled with some great people. If any of you are reading this I hope you stay in touch. For any of you who have actually put up with reading this far, thanks for reading and until next time... Safe travels all. Maybe see you on my next trip!
