Arrived in Nadi last night after lifting off in bad weather and a bit of turbulence half way through the flight got my adrenaline going, then shortly afterwards the classic "What you don't want to hear on a plane" announcement came over the speaker "We don't want to alarm anyone but is there a doctor on board the plane, the pilots just had a heart attack."

Ok so I made that last bit about the pilot up but it's what I was thinking and they did actually announce the bit about a doctor. I was expecting the worst when I got into Fiji because for some reason I was imagining it to be similar to when I arrived in Thailand with everyone bombarding you trying to rip you off when you got off the plane. I couldn't have been more wrong, it was really well organised and they even gave us a free minibus to the hostel! So first impressions of Fiji are good. Also the hostel is nothing like I expected with a guard at the front gate its more like a little city in itself.

Although the one thing I have been dreading is having to put up with the mosquito's and just sitting around by the pool today I've been bitten about ten times. I remember a time when they didn't use to bother me. Now I must taste like a gourmet meal to them and I have news for you mosquito repellant doesn't work.

Didn't really know what to do with myself this morning so I plonked my money on the table and the woman booked me on a three day Robinson Crusoe tour whatever that is, which I'm just about to leave for.
