If your reading this travel blog because you're curious about Perth to be honest you're not going to learn a lot except that they have a casino and its open 24 hours because that's pretty much all I know.

Tuesday night me and Dave walked back to the casino and spent all night gambling. Had the same problem getting in because the bouncers asked us for I.D again and Dave never had his passport (even though he is 22). So again the bouncers refused to let us in without his passport and we didn't fancy walking back several miles to get it. This problem was overcome by going around to the other entrance and walking straight in, and I thought casino security was supposed to be good! Managed to make back some of what I'd lost the night before. Met some interesting characters including one woman who asked us if we wanted any amphetamines, another woman who was clearly having a nervous breakdown or just severely wasted but had just won $2000 getting a royal flush on the poker machine, and Scotty - a crazy Aussie guy. Also watched the second half of the German Italy match which finished about 6am then played some more poker till about 10am, which I wish I hadn't bothered because I managed not to win a single hand in the whole time. When I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer decided to call it a night. Got back to the hostel and spent the rest of the day in bed.

Woke up about 6pm to find Luke and Dave had also spent the whole day asleep. Had a subway (which, along with Burger king - known as Hungry Jacks over here, is all our diet has consisted of since getting into Australia) then got a taxi into town and went to a club called Mustang where they had a backpackers/student night. We watched the first half of Portugal v France then Luke was falling asleep and ended up getting kicked out after the Barman told on him to the bouncers. To be fair the barman was a complete twat and deserved all the abuse Luke was giving him. When me and Dave finished our pint we went out to find him, only to find out he had disappeared. Ended up watching the rest of the match in the Kebab shop then found Luke falling asleep in the Hostel common room when we got back.

This morning we got woken up at the ridiculously early checkout time of 10am and felt very rough. We got a lift into town and checked into a hostel for the next three nights closer to the city centre but further away from the casino :(
