Champion of the Luge!

When Luke had decided to crawl out of bed at 1pm (seems someones beginning to get a bit too used to not having to work for a living), we decided to return to Sentosa Island with the sole purpose of deciding the question that had clearly been nagging away at both of us the last few days. Just who is fastest on the Luge? First we did a bit of sightseeing around Fort Siloso which is Singapore's only preserved coastal fort. we didn't get to the Luge until 5.30pm so only had an hour and a half before it shut. Figured we couldn't leave it an even score again, although that would give us an excuse to go back tomorrow, we decided to do best of three. I went 2-0 up and it was game over! (ended up 2-1) The last couple of weeks we've seen pretty much everything worth seeing in Singapore except the night safari but want to save that for the real thing one day.
Tomorrow we're planning on going to the Raffles hotel to have a Singapore sling which a guy who we were sharing a room with informed us that "you can't come to Singapore and not have a Singapore sling at the Raffles hotel". I was pretty sure that it was possible to arrive and depart Singapore without any problems if you never made it to the Raffles hotel to have a Singapore sling (which is a cocktail by the way and not some sort of weapon) but figured we've done everything else so might aswell finish with this famous tradition that is so famous we've never heard about it before.
Anyway just wanted to let the whole world know that that's two things I've beaten Luke at now - a swimming race and the Luge race, and I can't recall ever winning anything in my life which didn't involve cash and a little luck. More thumbnails ...

Well thats another country you are about to say farewell too!!!!!!! guess grandad would never had believed that in paceful times his grandchildren would walk in his footsteps.....
