Arrived in Singapore today after leaving wherever it was we were staying in Malaysia. Never did find out where it was.

Already it seems like were a whole world away from Malaysia and Thailand. It reminds me of Japan more than anywhere else I've been. Everywhere is so clean and it seems like everyones so well behaved. There's posters everywhere telling you all the things you can be fined for doing in public. No Smoking. No eating. No drinking. No flammable liquids? No Jay walking. I think to light a fag up on the train you'd better be prepared to pay almost 2000 quid if you get caught.

Tonight me and Luke have booked into the cheapest accommodation we could find, called the Backpackers inn, which is a dorm with 16 other people which works out about six quid a night. Had a look around the shopping centre earlier on which was full of millions of gadgets and more different types of camera than anyone could possibly choose from. Will be in Singapore for the next two weeks until we fly to Perth on 3rd of July.

Singapore is cool!
Hey Kirk, you've made it back to civilisation!!! Congratulations :-)
I was only in Singapore for a day but if i had been there longer i would have checked out the safari zoo thing (supposed to be the best in the world) and taken the cable car over to.. er some island.. Anyway Roz has been there a couple of times if you are stuck, but im sure you guys are old pros now!
The countdown has begun- i've got just over 5 weeks left of my job! Trying to book hotels in Tokyo at the moment, but you were right when you said they're expensive. We want to be in the party areas and there doesnt seem to be any backpacker friendly (i.e. cheap) acc. there. Sure we'll find something!
My friends and i met up with Roz in Fukuoka at the weekend! It was wicked, we went shopping and drank way too much in a bar/club called the Happy Cock- very funny night, not least of all because Roz managed to injure herself again (broken toenail- Karen suggested a hospital visit, I was like noooo don't mention that word!) and i pulled a J-boy that kissed like a fish... Lesson learned!

Take care of yourselves! Hope the mozzies have subsided!
