The journey yesterday from Koh Lanta to Kuala Lumpur wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be probably because we used about 5 different vehicles to get there and lots of time hanging around doing sweet FA. Which I'm quite good at. We arrived in Hadyai at 1pm which is in South Thailand and I'm pretty sure that's where all the violence is going on at the moment which we were told not to go to. Although not much you can do when the mini bus takes you there. We eventually caught the coach to Kuala Lumper at 7pm, after a six hour wait. That's one thing the Thai's are good at, taking there time and never rushing anything, which suits me great unless you actually want to get something done.

Me and Luke arrived at Kuala Lumpur at about 4am this morning. Was feeling knackered and my ear was causing me pain. Again. Think Im going to have to go van Gogh on it soon and I don't mean paint a picture of it. Anyway with absolutely no Malaysian money (which is Ringgit if anyone cares) me and Luke checked into the first place we came across that was open which was about a 20 second walk from the bus-stop and passed out.

By the time we woke up and I realised Malaysia was an hour in front of Thailand, which seems a bit pointless to me, it was 1pm and we went for breakfast. Thai's like there food spicy which I don't, so was quite glad to see Malaysians seem to like their curries which I quite like but not first thing in the morning (nor with bones still in the chicken as I found out after swallowing one of them). Although this is the first country where my first meal hasn't been either a mcDonalds or Burger King so must be getting used to settling into the local way of life. Actually its just because my last meal in Thailand was a KFC otherwise I would have had a KFC for breakfast.

After breakfast we went sightseeing around Kuala Lumpur and saw some pretty amazing buildings including the Petronas twin towers which was in the film Entrapment I think, and the KL telecommunications tower which is in the middle of a Jungle in the middle of a city. Also went to watch X-Men 3 in the cinema which was the equivilant of less than 2 quid.
