Anyway, enough moaning about the weather. You think Id be used to it growing up in England. Arrived in Hiroshima yesterday, found a baseball stadium and the A-Bomb dome last night. I think its unbelievable when you think that 60 years ago the first atomic bomb in history was dropped literally where I am sitting. Its not until you see these monuments and pictures that it makes you think why people go to war. As Jackie Chan says in rush hour "War... What is it good for? Absolutly Nussing"
The Japanese make me laugh, when it rains every single one of them without fail carries an umbrella. Im not talking about like at home where most people have them. I get the feeling its almost a capital punishment over here if you dont carry an umbrella and its raining - even just slightly. The funny thing is in the 20 minutes its taken me to walk to this internet cafe I haven`t seen a single umbrella for sale and if it stopped raining they would all simply vanish. Where do they get them all from? Is there some secret umbrella storage building foreigners dont know about? Although I thought it was only drizzle when I left my hotel I am pretty sure I have got more soaked than any other sensible japan umbrella carrying person in the whole country. There is actually a small puddle forming around me at the moment.
