Today, we finally got the chance to explore Seattle. Spent the morning at Pike Place Market, which is like one giant farmer's market, only permanent. Had fun seeing all of the different things they sold there and loved the russian pastry I ate. Can't remember what it was called but had smoked salmon in it.
Afterwards, we made our way to the Space Needle. Didn't go up though since we wouldn't have had enough time to take in the site and then find our way to Pioneer Square for our afternoon Underground Tour, which takes you through some of the original streets that are now under the current city. It was interesting, seeing the old buildings and hearing the history. After we finished, we headed over to Fremont where we found the spaceship that marked the "center of the universe."
Tomorrow, we're off for an early boatride to Victoria, British Columbia. Supposed to get pretty bad weather from here on out so I'm hoping I'll be able to catch some good views! The day after that, we'll be going to Vancouver and will be back in Seattle by late Thursday night. More thumbnails ...
