Hey there...I am having a lot of problems with this computer so this will be a short blog.  Will not have time to divulge all of the interesting details of this day.  Can tell you that the city is totally walkable and easy.  Basically one straight line from our hotel and can access all of the major sites.  Still took the subway since we had the ticket.

Hit the Brandenburg Gate and walked through to say we went to both east and west Berlin.  Also saw the Reichtag, Charlottenburg Palace, Jewish War Memorial, Pergammon Museum, and found Hitler's bunker (now a parking lot, as reported by the travel guides, to apartments surrounding it) as well as a part of the Berlin Wall that was rebuilt in the middle of a residential neighborhood.  We did not go into the museums because it was expensive as is and was even more so for us Americans.  Either way, we did not mind.  Went walking around the street markets instead.  Found some pretty neat items that were much more affordable to us poor Americans!  LOL
