After a long bus ride (in which Sebastian sadly loses his ukulele), and a short ferry ride, we arrive at Georgetown on Penang island. Though we don't stay here long, we do enjoy the colonial architecture, visit the Penang museum, as well as an old Chinese Mansion (complete with tight-ass hostess). We learn about Feng Shui, and have our second Indian banana leaf meal, which is much more confusing to order than the first.

Fiona: "I would like the banana leaf."

Host: "Yes yes, but what do you want to order?"

Fiona" ermm...I would like to have the banana leaf please!"

Host: "Okay okay," (hands her empty banana leaf), "Now what would you like ON it?"

We also take the funicular to the top of Penang Hill, only to be met with rain and fog at the top. After this we make a frantic march to see one last temple, which we were told was "not far, not far...maybe 5 mins", but after 30 minutes, and contemplating whether we should give up, we finally made it to the temple and got to see the outside as it was closed.
