After El Chalten we headed onto Chile, the last new south american country on our list, and by far the strictest border control we have passed  so far, but it still wasn´t that bad! We first of all went to Puerto Natales, from where you can get to the famed Torres del Paine park.  So that Saturday we took off on a bus to the park but the clouds descended as well arrived and proceeded to rain all day.  So for us it was " Torres del Rain" with the torres no where to be seen . A bit of a dissapointment really, but we were lucky with the weather in El Chalten so I guess you can´t have great weather everywhere. We were going to stay the night but with the weather the way it was we decided just to head back to Puerto Natales. After that we headed on to Puntas Arenas which is down by the straits of Magellan. Finally the junior cert history has become useful.  There wasn´t all that much to do there really out of season so we just veged there for a few days and watched cable tv. I even got to see the ¨Wind that Shakes the Barley " with Spanish subtitles so was keep quite amused. We are getting the Navimag ferry tonight (25th ) to Puerto Mont up north for four nights. Apparently we will see some fjords and possibly some whales. Have an ample supply of sea sickness tablets and wine so hopefully everything shall be fine!
